Wi-Fi Terms of Use

The use of the wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) at Aktivhotel Tuxerhof is subject to the following conditions. Wi-Fi access is provided to hotel guests free of charge. Access is granted via a password available at the reception and is only valid for the duration of the guest’s stay. The hotel does not guarantee the availability, speed, or reliability of the Internet connection.

Users agree to use the Wi-Fi exclusively in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Austria. Any abusive use is prohibited, including but not limited to the unlawful downloading, distribution, or making available of copyrighted content, accessing or distributing illegal, harmful to minors, offensive, or discriminatory content, as well as interfering with or manipulating other networks or security systems. Users are fully responsible for all actions taken via their access and hold the hotel harmless from any claims arising from unlawful use.

The hotel accepts no liability for any damages resulting from the use of Wi-Fi, including but not limited to data loss, malware, system failures, or unauthorized access by third parties. The hotel also assumes no responsibility for the content of websites visited or files downloaded. The hotel reserves the right to restrict or suspend Wi-Fi access at any time without notice, especially in the event of a violation of these terms.

For technical reasons, connection data such as MAC addresses, IP addresses, and times of use are recorded. These data are used exclusively to ensure system security and to prevent misuse. Data will only be disclosed to third parties if required by law under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021). Data will be deleted after the expiration of statutory retention periods.

By using the Wi-Fi, the user explicitly accepts these terms. Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is the registered office of the hotel.
